Thanks for this article. I’m currently using BlueHost to host my websites and so far, they seem to be quite good. I’m not sure, though, what other people think about the specifications of the hosting plan they offer, as with other web hosting companies, you may get more.

If it is just something short term for class, getting real hosting might be overkill. If you want to set up something long term (like change your blog away from a WordPress.com domain account to something like just kristinamarina.com), getting hosting is the way to go. And if you are getting hosting, I think Bluehost is great.

But if you just want it short term for a class, then save the money. You can just use the space I have on my server for that.

Like I said, send me the guidelines and your thoughts and we will see what we can come up with. I develop websites for a living, so I can’t imagine what you will need for class will be overly difficult for us to figure out.

Eventually I’m going to have to design a website for one of my literature classes–would this be something I could use?
It’s an Authorial Context and we can write an essay (blech) do Power Point or set up a web page (I’m so sick of powerpoint, but I’ll do it if I have to). I can send you the guidelines, but I was just wondering your opinion. I need to make it look good, because I REALLY need a good grade, but I’m also not a wiz when it comes to anything other than myspace.
